Cleaning stems before you finish the mix often gives a better result, because AI artifacts are removed from each element individually and any one stem can be the thing tripping detection. Yes. artefactFX removes AI artifacts but does not master your track. The cleaned 24-bit WAV file should be treated as a pre-master. You'll need to apply your own mastering chain (EQ, compression, limiting, loudness optimization) or send it to a mastering engineer to get a release-ready result. Our service focuses on making your track pass AI detection — the final sonic polish is up to you.

No. If your track scores low enough that cleaning isn't needed (roughly under 45% AI), the system tells you so and doesn't spend a cleaning. And if a cleaning ever fails for a technical reason, the credit is refunded automatically — you're only charged for cleanings that actually complete.

Anytime. Cancel in one click from your account page. You keep access and your remaining cleanings until the end of the current billing period, and you won't be charged again. Purchased top-up cleanings never expire, so they stay available even after a plan ends.
