Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using artefactFX (the “Service”) at artefactfx.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Epihen AI Limited (“we,” “us,” or “artefactFX”).
2. Description of Service
artefactFX is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that provides AI-powered audio tools for music producers:
- AI Checker — Analyzes an audio file and returns an AI-generation probability score. Free and available without registration.
- AI Cleaner — Processes audio files to reduce or remove AI-generation fingerprints. Requires an account.
- Stem Cleaner — Applies the same cleaning process to individual audio stems.
New registered accounts receive 3 free cleanings upon sign-up. Paid plans provide additional cleaning credits on a monthly basis.
3. Account Registration
Account creation is handled exclusively through Google OAuth. By signing in with Google, you authorize us to receive your Google account email address and basic profile information. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must not share your account or allow others to use your cleaning credits.
4. Subscription Plans and Billing
Paid plans are available on a monthly or annual basis. Current pricing:

Payments are currently accepted in cryptocurrency via NOWPayments (USDT, BTC, ETH, and 70+ coins). Credit card payments via Paddle are coming soon. Subscriptions do not auto-renew — each purchase grants access for 30 days (monthly) or 365 days (annual). Unused cleaning credits do not carry over to the next billing period.
5. Refund Policy
We offer a refund within 7 days of purchase if the Service failed to process your file — meaning the cleaning engine returned an error or produced no output. Refunds are not available for cases where the Service processed your file but the resulting AI detection score did not change to your satisfaction, as detection outcomes vary by file and are not guaranteed.
To request a refund, email support@artefactfx.com with your account email and a description of the failed processing.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload content that you do not own or have rights to process.
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates any applicable law.
- Attempt to circumvent, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Service in any way.
- Use the Service to violate the terms of any distribution platform, streaming service, or music marketplace.
Important notice regarding music distribution: artefactFX is designed to reduce AI-generation fingerprints in audio. However, we do not guarantee that processed tracks will pass the screening systems of any specific distributor (including but not limited to DistroKid, TuneCore, CD Baby, Spotify, or others). Distribution platforms may change their detection methods at any time, and the effectiveness of our processing may vary. You are solely responsible for ensuring your uploads comply with the terms and content policies of any platform you distribute to.
7. Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of all audio files you upload to the Service. By uploading a file, you grant us a limited, temporary license to process it solely for the purpose of providing the requested Service. We claim no rights to your music, stems, or any creative content you submit. Audio files are deleted immediately after processing and download — we do not store your content.
The artefactFX brand, platform, algorithms, and underlying technology are the exclusive property of Epihen AI Limited and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without express written permission.
8. Privacy
Your privacy matters to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information. Your use of the Service constitutes acceptance of our Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
- Processing results will meet your expectations or achieve any specific detection score.
- Processed tracks will be accepted by any distribution platform or pass any third-party AI screening system.
Detection and cleaning technology is inherently probabilistic. Results depend on file characteristics, the AI tool used to generate the original audio, and the detection methods employed by third parties — all of which are outside our control.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Epihen AI Limited and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service — including but not limited to lost profits, distribution rejections, reputational harm, or data loss. Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with generally accepted principles of international commercial law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation; if unresolved, through binding arbitration conducted in English. Nothing in this section limits your statutory consumer rights under the laws of your country of residence.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via the email associated with your account.
