Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Epihen AI Limited (“artefactFX,” “we,” “us,”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use artefactfx.com. We keep it short and honest.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the Service:

We do not collect passwords (handled entirely by Google) or any sensitive personal data beyond the above.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To operate your account and enforce your plan’s credit limits.
- To process payments and verify subscription status.
- To send transactional emails (receipts, plan confirmations, support replies).
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To improve the Service through aggregate, anonymized analytics.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.
3. Audio Files
Your music is private. Audio files you upload are processed in memory and deleted immediately after processing completes and you download (or skip downloading) the result. We do not store, archive, listen to, or analyze the content of your audio files for any purpose beyond the processing you requested.
Specifically:
- Files uploaded to the AI Checker are deleted immediately after the detection score is returned.
- Files processed by the AI Cleaner or Stem Cleaner are held temporarily in secure storage for download, then permanently deleted. Files are not retained beyond your download session.
- No human at artefactFX reviews, listens to, or uses your audio for model training or any other purpose.
4. Data Sharing
We share data only with the following third parties, and only to the extent necessary:
- Google — handles authentication via OAuth. Subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
- NOWPayments — processes cryptocurrency payments. We share only what is necessary for transaction verification. Subject to NOWPayments’ Privacy Policy.
- Paddle (coming soon) — will process card payments. Subject to Paddle’s Privacy Policy.
- ACRCloud — our detection API provider receives audio data for analysis. ACRCloud does not retain audio files after analysis. Subject to ACRCloud’s Privacy Policy.
We do not share your personal information with any other third parties, and we do not sell or rent data to brokers, advertisers, or other companies.
5. Cookies
We use a minimal set of cookies:
- Session cookie — keeps you logged in during your visit. Required for the Service to function.
- Theme preference — stores your dark/light mode preference in
localStorage. Not transmitted to our servers.
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.
6. Data Retention
- Account data (email, usage history) is retained for as long as your account is active, and for up to 90 days after account deletion for fraud prevention and accounting purposes.
- Payment records are retained as required for tax and accounting compliance.
- Server logs (IP, request metadata) are retained for up to 30 days, then deleted.
- Audio files are not retained at all beyond the active processing session, as described in Section 3.
7. Your Rights
You can exercise the following rights by emailing support@artefactfx.com:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Deletion — Request deletion of your account and all associated personal data. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
- Data export — Request your usage and account data in a portable format (JSON or CSV).
You may also delete your account directly from your account settings page. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data:
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS.
- Authentication is delegated entirely to Google — we never handle or store passwords.
- Payment processing is handled by third-party PCI-compliant providers; we do not store card numbers or crypto wallet keys.
- Audio files are processed in isolated environments and purged immediately after use.
No system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@artefactfx.com.
